 As we come to the end of another strange year, it’s a good time to recap some of the better movies from the Cause Cinema genre. And even though some of these titles are as gut-wrenching as they are rewarding, they all call attention to socially relevant issues and themes we can relate to. While it was another great year for documentaries, we’re going to focus on narratives this week.
All of these movies have been embraced by the critical community, as well as general audiences. Some are scoring higher with one or the other, but many are landing on the 2022 top 10 lists.
